  • Nice record...but

    Posted by Lunchbox

So I started reading about the promotional stunt in LA this weekend for Will Ferrell's upcoming animated movie "Megamind" where they had over 1,500 people show up in "superhero" costumes to break a world record. Now I'm all for people throwing on the gear, BUT...we're talking world record. First complaint, the picture in the article I read (found here and shown above) has Charlie Chaplin in it...and Power Ranger! Then when I was watching the video in the article (once again, found here) shows a guy who threw on a Punisher t-shirt...does that count? Come on man...

  • Real chicken nuggets

So Gizmodo threw up this picture of what Chicken McNuggets look like before they are seasoned and pressed. I think this picture made it's way to the internet with someone's hopes of getting people to stop eating fast food. But I've got to agree with my overweight brethren at Gizmodo, this won't stop me. I love the tastyness of those little fried morsels. I don't care where it came from, it tastes good. Veggies grow in the dirt, so don't give me that "where it came from" crap! And Jamie Oliver, I hate you and your smug British self importance...

Which brings me to the Online Film Critics Society's list of the Top 100 "First Films"! What is a "first film"? It's just that, the first time a director has been at the helm of a major motion picture. With "Night of the Living Dead" at #3 and "Reservoir Dogs" at #6, this is a list I can get with. You can check out all 100 here.
  • Yes, this was real

This may be one of the coolest goals EVER! This was an AHL (minor league NHL) game from yesterday (Sunday) between the Hamilton Bulldogs and the Binghamton Senators. Kaspars Daugavins, a 22-year-old prospect scored by putting the tip of the blade of his stick on the puck and skating in with it, the rest is magic...

My name may not be Tony Stark, but I bet I could be a superhero once these are perfected!
