Tuesday Nine at Nine 1981

Monday July 12, 2010 Posted 1 year, 7 months ago by David Louis

1981 started on a good note with the end of The Iran hostage crisis for 53 Americans who were held hostage for 444 days from November 4th, 1979 to January 20th, 1981. The hostages were released into U.S. custody the following day, right after Ronald Reagan was sworn in as the new President.  In 1981, the term “internet” was being tossed around for the first time and 3M made sure there was a stack of “Post It” notes near every phone. The Summer of 81’ had us hoping our cable provider would carry the new MTV music channel. We’ll kick off Tuesday’s Nine at Nine with a song that could “make a dead man cry” and finish “under pressure” right after Bob & Tom on 93.5FM WOZZ.
