The ballot for this years College Football Hall-Of-Fame was released yesterday. Leading the list of 77 players and five coaches is a certain first ballot winner in badger legend Ron Dayne. It will be hard to imagine that anyone would not vote for the 1999 Heisman trophy winner. He is also the career rushing leader in major college football and was the first player in college history to rush for over 7000 yards.

Also on the ballot is former Packer Sterling Sharpe who played his college ball at South Carolina.

The Bucks start a three game trip out West tonight as the face the Clippers in LA. Don't forget that former Bcuks radio legend Eddie Doucette is scheduled to join Ted Davis in the booth tonight and do two quarters of play by play. You can hear the game on Foxsports AM1390 & FM 93.9...pre game at 9:10.

Congrats to Edgar native Connie Urmanski as she is one of three state  players named as a finalist for the Jostens Trophy as NCAA D-3 Player of The Year. She plays at UW-Superior. Also nominated for the womens award is Sarah Bingea of UW-Eau Claire and also Taylor Koth of Ripon for the men.

The Woodchucks have named Jameel Ziadeh as their new field manager for this season. Ziadeh was the teams hitting coach last summer and replaces Erik Supplee who stepped down after taking a job at Wake Forest University. Ziadeh is currently an assistant at Wayne State University. The Woodchucks begin the season May 29th at Athletic Park.

Songs of The Day  (from My I-pod)

Lonely Teardops-Jackie Wilson (1958) One of the great R&B voices of his or any other generation

The Loner-Neil Young (1968) from his first solo record comes this tune written while still in Buffalo Springfield...who's it about?...who knows...probably himself.
