Old-school, new-school, middle-school. Earn your PhD. in Metal every Saturday Night!
Thanks again for listening this past Saturday night! It's your support that keeps this show on the air.
Keep listening, telling your friends to listen and clicking that "Like" button on the Official Scary Terry's Saturday Nightmare Facebook Page, and we'll keep on keeping metal on in Central Wisconsin and world wide via our website stream.
I'm also on Twitter. Follow me, I'll follow you, and we'll follow each other around yet another social networking time-sink. I'd do LinkedIn too, but LinkedIn strikes me as a Social Network for people who don't like to have fun.
In case you were looking for a list of what we played last Saturday so you can go LEGALLY download it, here you go.
Scary Terry's Saturday Nightmare playlist for 2/4/12
HOUR ONE
Cradle of Filth - "Transmissions From Hell" (Awesome spoken-word piece from their Evemore Darkly EP. It has a couple of industrial/techno remixes of some CoF tunes too. Wondering out loud if anyone would be down for a goth/industrial night at a local nighclub?)
Deicide - "Dead By Dawn"
Atari Teenage Riot - "Destroy 2000 Years of Culture" (Heavily samples Slayer's "Dead Skin Mask". Don't worry purists. I played the original later on in the show.)
Megadeth - "Hanger 18" (Check out the Rock 94.7 Concert Calendar if you're a Megadeth fan.)
Napalm Death - "Leper Colony" (Brand new tune from their upcoming album, Utilitarian, due out 2/28/12. We had a chance to talk to their lead singer on the show last weekend. In case you missed about 13 Questions Interview with Barney, you can listen to it by clicking HERE.)
Testament - "Nobody's Fault" (Aerosmith cover.)
Killswitch Engage - "This Fire Burns"
Mudvayne - "Small Silhouette"
Goatwhore - "Collapse in Eternal Worth" (Brand new tune from their brand new album, Blood for the Master, due out 2/14/12. Also, Goatwhore is one seriously metal band name.)
Fear Factory - "Descent"
Anthrax - "Anyplace But Here"
Arch/Matheos - "Midnight Serenade" (Featuring Fates Warning's former lead singer John Arch and current lead guitarist Jim Matheos. If you liked Fates Warning at their proggy-est, you'll dig this.)
Kittie - "Witch Hunt"
GWAR - "Eighth Lock"
HOUR TWO
Pantera - "Psycho Holiday"
Machine Head - "Locust"
Slayer - "Dead Skin Mask"
Soulfly - "World Scum" (New tune from their upcoming album Enslaved, due out 3/13/12. I don't know about you, but this tune reminds of of classic Sepultura. This is a good thing.)
Static-X - "Push It"
Avenged Sevenfold - "The Beast and the Harlot"
Soil - "Halo"
Mastodon - "Curl of the Burl" (They're up for a Grammy this Sunday.)
Opeth - "Drapery Falls" (I remember the day I played Opeth's Blackwater Park album for my brother. He was all like "Dood! These songs are too long!" I've since disowned my brother.*)
The Black Dhalia Murder - "Malenchantments of the Necrosphere"
3 Inches of Blood - "Night Marauders"
HOUR THREE
In Flames - "Dead End"
Iron Maiden - "The Prisoner"
System of a Down - "Prison Song"
Death - "Scavenger of Human Sorrow"
Coal Chamber w/Ozzy Osbourne - "Shock the Monkey"
Children of Bodom - "Needled 24/7"
Overkill - "I Hate"
Noctem - "Invictus"
Testament - "Practice What You Preach"
Slayer - "Mandatory Suicide"
Prong - "Whose Fist Is This Anyway?" ("To whom does yon fist belong?" would also be grammatically correct.)
Barn Burner - "Keg Stand and Deliver" (Congrats to Barn Burner for having the most Wisconsin song title of the night.)
Fear Factory - "Linchpin"
Once again, thanks for listening! We'll do it again next Saturday, 3 hours of non-stop metal from 9pm to Midnight on Rock 94.7, 102.9 and online!

(*Just kidding, Ed. I still love ya. I still can't believe you don't dig Opeth, though. They're freaking amazing.)
