Eastbound & Down came back this weekend & life is good.
Season 4: Blowing His Retirement Package
Sundays at 10pm on HBO
The new season finds legendary baseball bad-ass Kenny Powers living a life that's not so bad-ass anymore. Kenny Powers the stay at home Dad & cook? Yes. Kenny Powers at a nine to five job? Yes. Kenny Powers renting cars? To OTHER people? Yes.
There's only one way this can go, because if we know anything about Kenny Powers, it's that he can't seem to KEEP a break. He gets plenty of breaks, but he just can't seem to get comfortable living any kind of life style except the superstar-at-the-top-of-his-game type of life style.
I don't want to giveaway too many moments, because you really must see the insanity of Kenny Powers for yourself to truly appreciate his brand of overgrown d-bag, but... at one point he squishes an entire box of beautifully glazed donuts at work when no one's looking. Don't tell me you haven't been tempted.
Episode One is clearly setting us up for a TOTAL Kenny blowout and it can only be one thing... AWESOME. Like Kenny Powers says, "You can't retire from being awesome".
And here's some other great Kenny Powerisms:
"I need four Xanax and two Miller Lites." -Season 1 Episode 5
"The game ball. Thanks Roger. I'll put this with my collection of personal achievements. I mean, not right next to the good sh*t, but still." -Season 2 Episode 6
"I got hard rules to live by, Pop: I don't f**k with the devil and I never do tag-teams with blood relatives." -Season 2 Episode 5
"Sometimes you've got to wash aways the paint and reveal to the world the jackass that is hiding beneath."
-Season 2 Episode 1
