Bucks Continue To Re-Tool

by Tom King

The Milwaukee Bucks are getting closer to aquiring point guard Jeff Teague. The restricted free agent signes a four year, 32 million dollar offer sheet with the Bucks and now Atlanta has a chance to match. There is no indication that the Hawks are interested in doing that so it looks like Teague will be joining his former coach Larry Drew in Milwaukee. It probably means Brandon Jennings will not be back, even though he is not finding the market to be as busy as he might have hoped.

The Bucks are also working on a three team trade that would have them re-aquire Luke Ridenour. He had spent two years with the Bucks before signing with the Timberwolves in 2010. Ridenour can be a good addition to the bench in a back-up role to Teague.

You can expect the other new players, OJ Mayo, Zaza Pachulia and Carlos Delfino to sign their contracts after the Teague-Jennings situation is finalized.

A huge girls softball tournament begins in the Wausau area today. The ASA Junior Olympic Class B tournament will involve 103 teams from around the state with age groups ranging from U10 to U18. Wausau has a team in all five divisions. Games will be played at Sunnyvale, East & West, and DC Everest fields

The Wausau Post 10 Bulldogs Legion team returns to conference play tonight at Marshfield. Post 54 is coming off a win over Plover earlier this week. Wausau is trying to end a five game skid. Stevens Point plays at Plover tonight as well.
