ROTHSCHILD, Wis. (WSAU) – Get ready for more ramp closures and detours in 2011.
The DOT will hold a public meeting tomorrow night in Rothschild about plans to reconstruct two bridges and one overpass and repave Highway 51 south of Wausau.
The plans call for repaving the northbound part of the highway between Business 51 and Highway 29 east and reconstructing the bridge over the Wisconsin River in 2011 and the Foxglove Road overpass. The same work will happen on the southbound side in 2012, said project manager Mark Steidl.
The meeting is from 5 to 7 p.m. at the village hall. There will be a brief presentation at 5:15 p.m.
