NEENAH, Wis. (WTAQ) - Police in Neenah arrest an Iowa man after he allegedly tried to run down another man with a car.
It happened just before 6:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 200 block of Joseph Court. Investigators say the victim avoided the car, only suffering a minor leg injury.
Police indicate 28-year-old Bryce Hinkle of Dubuque Iowa crashed at least twice into a parked vehicle and at least once into a building. Within a minute of the initial call, police arrested Hinkle and disarmed the victim, who had part of a pool cue.
Lt. Jeff Malcore says the incident involved Hinkle, the victim and a woman. But Malcore says they're not sure what triggered the violence.
"Our witness statements are pretty consistent that it was an intentional act," Malcore told FOX 11. "He was definitely trying to either really hurt this guy or possibly kill him."
Hinkle is behind bars and police are recommending charges of attempted homicide, reckless endangerment and 4th offense OWI in Winnebago County.
