GREEN BAY, Wis. (WTAQ) - When St. Patrick's Day rolls around, the city of Green Bay will be kickoff a brand new tradition. It's called "St. Patty's Day in Downtown Green Bay." Mayor Jim Schmitt says the festivites start at 4:30 p.m. because it's designed to be a family-friendly event. Included that day are Irish music, dancers and bag pipes.

There wil be a parade from Admiral Flatley Park down to the City Deck, where the event will be capped off by a green smoke show. Grand Marshal of the parade will be Packers President Mark Murphy.
