MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WTAQ) - You can forget about that prediction of 7 inches of heavy wet snow for this weekend. The National Weather Service has revised its forecast – and it now predicts less than 2 inches for Metro Milwaukee, where meteorologists first said the totals would be much higher. Most of the weekend snow is now expected to fall Friday night and early Saturday. Lafayette County in the southwest is projected to get the most – 2 to 3 inches.

About the southern third of Wisconsin could get an inch or two, including Madison. And almost the northern half of the state could be totally dry, except for a light snowfall Friday evening. Sunny skies are expected Thursday throughout Wisconsin, with highs in the 50’s and 60’s. It’s supposed to be around 10 degrees cooler Friday. And highs will be in the 30’s and 40’s statewide from Saturday through at least Monday.
