KALAMAZOO (WKZO) - One man is in custody, charged with the illegal discharge of a firearm after police from several Kalamazoo area agencies rushed to Big Bend Apartments on Gull Road on the report of a man firing a gun into a mattress.
Kalamazoo Township police say the man voluntarily surrendered as they were evacuating nearby apartments. A woman and two children in the apartment were not harmed. It will be up to the prosecutor to decide what charges are appropriate.
