BATTLE CREEK (WKZO) - It’s one down and four to go as Battle Creek Police search for the suspects in a brutal torture and beating case that could land the suspects in prison for life. The Department has released the names of the suspects who they say snatched two teens off the street, beat them and tortured them for hours and then tied them up and left them abandoned out in rural Calhoun County. The beating was reportedly retaliation for a home burglary the pair were involved in.
Detectives say the victims apparently knew the suspects, and have been a big help to investigators. Twenty-on -year-old Nicholas King is the first to be arrested and he reportedly hasn’t been any help at all. Also being sought, Leon Finnie, Lettores Jackson, Britten McNutt and Daneko Erskine. Police will be seeking kidnap, attempted murder, torture and felony firearms charges against the suspects.
