TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WIBQ) - A Terre Haute man has been formally charged with arson for allegedly setting his girlfriend's car on fire. According to police, 22 year old Michael Evans set the car on fire and then fled when they tried to arrest him. A witness identified Evans. He was later caught after a police chase. A bottle of accelerant was also found nearby. Evans remains in the Vigo County jail on $25,000 bond.
