ALBION, MI (WTVB) - Calhoun County deputies last night made sure the party was over for three Milwaukee men making their way home after a drug bash in Detroit. The trio’s car was pulled over around 10 p.m. on I94 near 28 Mile Rd, in Sheridan Township for a traffic violation. For starters, deputies found the guy behind the wheel was driving on a suspended license while the two passengers had open alcohol in the vehicle.
Upon further investigation, and with the assistance of a K-9 from the Albion Department of Public Safety, deputies located and seized a bag in the vehicle containing twenty different bags of pills, later identified as Ecstasy, in total, about 2,000 pills with a street value of approximately $40,000. Deputies also seized over a thousand dollars in cash from the suspects, who said they had traveled to Detroit from Wisconsin to go to a party, and were then heading back to Milwaukee.
Instead, they’re now lodged at the Calhoun County Jail, and later face arraignment on charges of Manufacturing and Delivering Ecstasy, and Possession of Open Intoxicants in a motor vehicle.
