WAUSAU, Wis (WSAU) A man who escaped from a police cruiser and sparked a high speed chase is facing charges in Wood and Marathon counties.
22-year-old Douglas Spangler was sentenced in Wood County to 3-years in jail and 3-years probation for fleeing and officer, driving a vehicle without the owner's permission, and for a parole violation.
He was charged in Marathon County with fleeing an officer, criminal damage to property, and disorderly conduct. He was caught in the Town of McMillan on July 17th.
Spangler will be held in the Marathon County jail until his case comes up for trial. He'll get credit for time served against his jail sentence in Wood County.
