Riding high from the success of their latest release, Not Your Kind of People , Garbage is making plans to get back into the studio. Drummer Butch Vig tells Rolling Stone that fans can expect the band to begin working on new material in “January, early February.”

Frontwoman Shirley Manson adds that the band will take a different approach to releasing new music, ditching the idea of making a whole album in favor of dropping only a few songs at a time. "Historically, we've worked slow because we've toured so much -- we go and spend a year making a record, then we go back out on the road,” explains the singer. “Now we realize we can do two or three tracks, release these tracks and then go on the road."
