ANTIGO, Wis. (WSAU) – Antigo's former high school football coach and elementary school principal will stand trial on drug dealing charges.
Langlade County Judge Fred Kawalski found enough evidence during a preliminary hearing Thursday to bind 47-year-old John Lund over on eight felony charges, including four counts of dealing marijuana, three counts of possessing marijuana with the intent to deliver and one count of maintaining a drug trafficking place.
Lund will be arraigned March 19th. He remains free on a $5,000 bond.
County drug investigator Dan Bauknecht testified that Lund bought marijuana at least twice from his brother-in-law Brad Maahs and also sold marijuana to Scot Peterson. Maahs and Peterson are both charged in the same case.
Lund's attorney tried to get two of the charges dropped. But prosecutors filed an amended criminal complaint that modified the charges in question. The updated complaint accuses Lund of dealing the drug between December 16, 2008 and December 16, 2011.
