SCHOFIELD, Wis (WSAU) The D.C. Everest School District received four bids to buy the now-vacant Schofield Elementary School building.

The highest bid was from Nite Inn LLC, owned by Joseph and Barbara Buska. They bid $83,700.

The high-bidders would not say what they would use the building for.

This was the second round of bids. In January the high-bidder wanted the building for $30,000 -- but that offer was rejected. Then the school board insisted on a minimum bid of $75,000.

The school board is also reviewing bids for Schofield and Easton elementary schools. All were closed in 2011 to lower the district's operating costs.
