MILWAUKEE, (WTAQ) - Two different doctors say a woman accused of killing a pregnant woman and trying to steal her unborn baby doesn't show signs of mental defect or disability. Annette Morales-Rodriguez from Milwaukee will stand trial. Morales-Rodriguez has entered an insanity plea on two counts of intentional homicide, but the judge ruled Friday she is competent to stand trial. She’s accused of killing 23 year old Maritza Ramirez-Cruz in October and cutting the baby boy out of her womb, planning to pass the infant off as her own. The baby also died. Morales-Rodriguez is scheduled to return to court March 8, with trial starting in late April.
