WISCONSIN RAPIDS, Wis (WSAU) The 18-year-old accused of cutting off a young puppy's ears with a razor blade was in Wood County court yesterday. The judge increase Nong Vang's signature bond from $2,000 to $10,000.
He could face 3 1/2 years in prison on felony animal cruelty charges.
He's due back in court December 13th to enter a plea. The judge is also holding off on a ruling on whether there's enough evidence to proceed to trial until then.
The ASPCA says clipping the ears of some breeds is common for animal fighting, making it more difficult for other animals to grab onto them. Some breeds have their ears cropped for cosmetic reasons.
