MADISON, WI (WTAQ) - Madison police are looking for the man who attacked a woman early Saturday morning and ended up a little battered himself.
It happened in the 100 block of East Johnson Street.
The 21 year old Madison woman says she was walking home when her assailant grabbed her from behind. She says she fell to the ground and the man started hitting her in the face and head.
An off-duty firefighter saw the attack, running up and punching the attacker in the face. The suspect ran away.
He was described as being about 5'11", 200 pounds, in his late 20s to early 30s, wearing a dark hoodie or coat, with a red flannel shirt underneath.
The woman suffered cuts to the back of her head.
