Bad news for New Found Glory fans: Frontman Jordan Pundik has revealed that the band will go on hiatus after they complete their scheduled tour celebrating the 10th anniversary of the release of their major label debut album, Sticks and Stones .
"I think we need to go away for a little bit," Pundik tells Billboard.com . "We've been touring for a long time. I don't think anybody's in the headspace for writing a new record.”
The singer adds that the band will only take a short break, and fans shouldn’t worry about the guys calling it quits any time soon. “We won't go away completely; we're still gonna be doing things here and there, probably some one-offs and things like that,” he explains. “But to be honest I don't think we'll have anything new out until 2014."
Pundik says that the next release for NFG will probably be their first live DVD. "We've never really done one, so it's kind of overdue,” he reveals. “We'd like to shoot it in one of the places where a lot of die-hard fans live. I think that'll probably happen at some point soon."
