Jeff Ament says Acts , the debut album of his side project, RNDM , was one of the quickest albums he’s ever made. The Pearl Jam bassist reveals that the recording process for the release only took a few days.
“We basically did the recording in four days and one night,” Ament tells
. “[The band] got in at about seven at night. We started recording at nine. We recorded one song, and we had [the album] four full days after that.”
Ament adds that he hopes he can make some new music with RNDM before he’s called back to finish Pearl Jam’s follow up to 2009’s Backspacer . “I'm probably not going to get busy with Pearl Jam until March or something,” he explains. “I'm up for whatever. There's a little bit of momentum within [RNDM] right now so I think we want to keep it moving.”
