TOWN OF GALE, WI (WTAQ) - -A motorcyclist was killed after a semi-truck lost control and flipped over in western Wisconsin.
Authorities have not said how the crash occurred – or how the motorcycle was involved.
The crash happened Tuesday afternoon in Trempealeau County on Highway 54 in the town of Gale.
Sheriff’s deputies said the biker died at the scene, and they did not immediately release his name. The trucker had minor injuries.
Wisconsin had a large increase in motorcycle deaths this year, due partially to a warmer than normal spring and dry mild weather since Labor Day.
The DOT said 85 motorcyclists were killed in the Badger State from January through the end of September.
