UNDATED, WI (WTAQ_ = Wisconsin’s weather is getting to be like its politics – with shrinking middle ground.
It was just three months ago when the Badger State was setting heat records like crazy, with highs going past 100 in many places.
Well, it was just 16 degrees this morning in Rhinelander. That broke a record low for the date of 20, set in 2006 and 1919. Other record lows were set in Stevens Point with 17, Antigo with 18, and Wisconsin Rapids with 21. Marshfield tied a record low for the date with 21, also set in 2006.
Winchester in Vilas County had an inch of snow early Friday– but only rain is predicted during the weekend, as temperatures warm up.
The National Weather Service says it won’t get below 30 in the Badger State at least until the middle of next week.
