ANTIGO, Wis (WSAU) A former substitute teacher in the Merrill School District reached a plea bargain on drug-possession charges Wednesday. 55-year-old Anthony Crab was in Langlade County court, and pled guilty to one count of possession of THC under a deferred prosecution agreement. He's the latest subject in the marijuana-ring involving some teachers in the Antigo and Merrill school districts that was uncovered last spring.
If Crab stays out of trouble, the charge will be reduced to disorderly conduct in a year. The case is scheduled for review in September, 2013.
The Merrill School District stopped using Crab as a substitute teacher when the charges were filed last school year.
