STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) -  A rollover accident north of Stevens Point yesterday killed two men. Portage County Sheriff’s investigators say the one-vehicle crash happened on Sunset Drive just north of County Highway DB east of Lake Dubay at 5:28 p.m.

Investigators say the driver was 25-year-old Matthew A. Brucker.  His passenger was 66-year-old Robert W. Hartman.  Both men were from Stevens Point.

Emergency crews from the Town of Dewey, Stevens Point, and Mosinee were sent to the scene, and a medical helicopter was called, but when officers arrived they found the men deceased in the vehicle.

Officers say they were northbound on Sunset Drive and failed to stop at the Highway DB stop sign before losing control and crashing through several trees.
