NEW LONDON, Wis (WSAU) A 24-year-old man is accused of killing his teenage girlfriend during an argument at a New London motel.

Kevin Lombard is in the Waupaca County jail on a probation-hold. He'll be charged with reckless homicide when he makes his next court appearance on September 27.

Lombard says 18-year-old Amelia Schmitz became violent when he told her that he'd slept with an ex-girlfriend. He claims he was trying to restrain her when they fell off a bed in their motel room. Lombard made calls to his mother, and then to 9-1-1 after the incident. He was arrested after police arrived at the scene.
