MADISON, WI (WTAQ) - The Powerball jackpot has risen to $174 million, after nobody won the top prize Wednesday night.
Two Wisconsin players won the game’s third prize. Tickets sold in Sparta and Sun Prairie won $10,000 each by matching four regular numbers plus the Powerball. Almost 14,000 tickets sold in the Badger State won smaller prizes.
Wednesday night’s numbers were 1, 5, 8, 39, and 50. The Powerball was 23.
The current jackpot has been building since August 15th. It has rolled over 10 times.
The cash option for Saturday night is $110 million, for a single winner who takes the whole prize now instead of in 30 annual installments.
In Mega Millions, the top prize for Friday night is $12 million.
