Shooting victim released from hospital Monday

WAUPACA, WI (WSAU) -  The man hospitalized after a drive-by shooting at the Wally World Bar near Waupaca has been released from the hospital. Waupaca County Sheriff’s Captain Don Conat confirms that 35-year-old Rickey Stoflet Junior was sent home from Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah Monday.

Stoflet was shot when a number of bullets from a moving vehicle penetrated the walls of the tavern March 23rd. Stoflet was in the attached living quarters when the shooting took place around 3:00 a.m.

Investigators are still trying to find the two people that fired the weapons. They believe the car is a four-door Chevrolet Impala made between 2000 and 2005, and is light in color.

Anonymous tips can be called in to Waupaca County Crimestoppers at 888-258-9955.
