MILWAUKEE (WTAQ) - A Capitol Police officer who was stabbed in a state office building in Milwaukee was identified Thursday as Greg Friberg.
The 66-year-old Friberg was stabbed twice in the neck Wednesday, while he and another officer were responding to an emergency alarm in the downtown Milwaukee office structure. The other officer was not hurt.
A 25-year-old West Allis man was arrested – and as of early afternoon, charges were still pending.
Walker administration spokeswoman Stephanie Marquis said Friberg has been with the Capitol Police force for 12 years, and he’s often assigned to patrol the Milwaukee facility.
