UNDATED (WSAU) One more person has been sentenced in connection with the Manson Insurance fraud case. 67-year-old Jeffery Tiffany of Mosinee will spend 30-days in jail and pay a fine of $25,000. He'll also have to perform 200 hours of community service, and will be on supervised release for 2-years after he’s done serving his jail time.
Tiffany was a Vice President at River Valley Bank, and he made a false statement as part of the fraud and forgery scheme.
Manson Insurance was taking out loans against the insurance policies of its clients -- without the client's knowledge. Tiffany claimed that one client, Hardwoods Corporation, had signed an insurance finance note, when he knew it was a forgery.
Three leaders of Manson Insurance are already serving jail time. The scheme was uncovered when River Valley Bank bought Manson Insurance and discovered the fraud.
