Plea deal reached in bicycle death case


WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) - The man accused of causing the death of a bicyclist near Mosinee will not go to trial. 44-year-old Tracy Kruzicki has reached a plea deal, and has been found guilty of driving with a suspended license and causing death.

44-year-old Tammy gass died when her bicycle was struck by Kruzicki’s car on Highway KK May 23rd of 2012.

Kruzicki was found negligent in the fatal incident. He was not impaired and he was not distracted while driving.

A presentence investigation has been ordered by Judge Lamont Jacobsen. Sentencing is set for October 7th.

Bicycles have been dangerous for Gass’ family. Her previous husband Gregg Bednorski died in 2008 while riding a bike on that same highway. He crashed into a parked car.
