GREEN BAY, WI (LEARFIELD-WSAU) Green Bay Packers’ left tackle Bryan Bulaga is out for the season. Team officials confirm he has a torn ACL.
He reportedly injured a knee ligament during Saturday’s Family Night scrimmage. Bulaga took all the snaps with the Packers’ Number-One offense – but he did take a hard fall during the first series and was slow to get up.
Pro-Football-Talk-Dot-Com and newspapers in Green Bay and Milwaukee said he needed treatment in the locker room late Saturday night, and was given more tests yesterday. This could be Bulaga’s second season-ending injury in the last two years.Last year, he missed the Packers’ final nine games – including playoffs – with a broken hip bone.
It’s possible that Marshall Newhouse and fourth-round rookie David Bakhtiari could start at the two starting spots. Don Barclay could also be in the mix. He started at right tackle late last season, and is practicing at center and right guard at this year’s Training Camp.
