GREEN BAY, WI (LEARFIELD-WSAU) The banged-up Green Bay Packers will open their exhibition schedule tonight against the Arizona Cardinals at Lambeau Field. Fourteen Packers are injured. That includes starters Jordy Nelson and Tramon Williams, both out with knee injuries, and left tackle Bryan Bulaga who’s out for the year with a torn A-C-L knee ligament.
The Cardinals have a long injury list as well. Ten Arizona players are not expected to be on the field tonight – including running back Ryan Williams who’s out with a knee injury. Ex-Packers’ guard Daryn Colledge is out with nerve damage to one of his legs.
The Cardinals expect to play their starters for one-or-two series. The Packers have not said how long they’ll play their starters.
Coach Mike McCarthy says he wants to get a look at all four quarterbacks on his roster – including Vince Young, who signed this week. Green Bay rookie David Bakhtiari is expected to get a lot of playing time in Bulaga’s spot.
