MADISON, WI (LEARFIELD-WSAU) Wisconsin football coach Gary Andersen expects to find out more today about the playing status of center Dan Voltz. He injured his right hamstring at practice yesterday.
Offensive line coach T-J Woods says the injury is probably not too bad – but Andersen says hamstrings can either heat up or cool down within 24 hours of being hurt.
In the meantime, redshirt junior Dallas Lewallen moved to the center spot at practice. He’s been the Number-One left guard at pre-season camp – and he expects to start his first collegiate game on August 31st at home against Massachusetts. Lewallen has only played six games at Wisconsin due to previous injuries to both his knees.
