Missing Adams County woman found alive

PORT EDWARDS, Wis. (WSAU) - A missing Adams County woman has been found alive.

64-year-old Alice L. Peterson of Arkdale went missing Monday morning. A group of first responders found her Chevy Blazer in a rural area near Port Edwards, and she was located a short distance from her vehicle late Wednesday.  Peterson was unconsious, and had symptoms consistent with not taking her daily medication.

Peterson is in critical condition, and currently being treated at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield for undisclosed medical conditions.

Adams and Wood County officials are expecting to release more information Thursday. The agencies appreciated the help of volunteers and the efforts of people spreading Peterson’s information on social media, which led to several possible leads searchers could follow up on.
