EAGLE RIVER, Wis. (WSAU) -- A Saturday night wrong-way driver incident left a squad car damaged.
Eagle River police were called by a driver at 6:30 p.m. reporting an erratic driver in the wrong traffic lane heading west. The officer could not get the driver to pull over after several tries, and pulled his squad in front of the vehicle to protect oncoming traffic and slow the erratic driver down. That’s when the driver rear-ended the squad car.
So far, no names have been released. Police say there were no injuries, but the driver may have had a medical emergency while driving.
The incident remains under investigation.
