Additional charges to be filed against Wausau robbery suspects

WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) -- The three men accused of stealing guns, cars, and other valuables in several Wausau burglaries are likely to be back in court Tuesday. 25-year old Rocky Noah, 26-year old Darryl Wood, and 18-year-old Ivan Villaseca are already facing several charges. Marathon County prosecutor Michael Puerner says there’s more coming. “I can tell you that we are reviewing additional reports from various police departments around the county, and we do plan on issuing additional charges this week.”

Those additional charges could happen as early as today. Puerner says the new charges are from different crimes. “There are other incidents that are tied to these individuals. I can’t say any more specifics other than that at this time.”

All three suspects are being held in the Marathon County Jail. Noah and Wood are jailed on a probation hold, and Villaseca on the charges filed against him over the weekend. Puerner says some of the new charges will bring them to court starting today. “At least one. I’m not sure if the other two will make an appearance (today) but it will likely be this week.”

Villaseca’s bond was set at 20-thousand dollars cash by Judge Greg Grau yesterday. Several older rifles and shotguns were recovered from the ice on the Wisconsin River under the Bridge Street bridge Saturday. Investigators believe the three suspects stole them from a west Wausau residence in November. Other items have been recovered as well.

Police received a tip about the location of a car involved in the thefts, and arrested Noah, Wood, and Villaseca Friday. They were arrested without incident at a house in the 600 block of Steuben Street in Wausau.
