MARSHFIELD, Wis (WSAU) A sex offender is back behind bars after facing new charges.
Prosecutors say 23-year-old Nicholas Greuel of Marshfield was caught with child pornography, and was taking photographs of an underage girl without consent. He appeared in Marathon County court yesterday, and is being held on $10,000 bond. The charges stem from a probation officer's visit to his home last summer. The officer found a cellphone in Greuel's pick-up truck. He's not allowed to have a cellphone under the terms of his probation. The pictures were allegedly stored on the phone.
Greuel was convicted of photographing a minor without consent in Wood County in 2011, and has to register on the state's sex offender list as a term of his release.
He'll be back in court February 13th.
