HUDSON, Wis. (WSAU) -- The man convicted of killing his three young daughters in River Falls last year will be sentenced today.
35-year-old Aaron Schaffhausen faces a mandatory life sentence for the death of each of the victims, 11-year-old Amara, 8-year-old Sophie and 5-year-old Cecilia Schaffhausen. The only real question left for the judge to answer is if Schaffhausen would be eligible for supervised release after serving at least twenty years behind bars.
Jurors found Schaffhausen had a mental defect, but knew the killings were wrong. He admitted killing his girls to get back at his ex-wife.
He’ll be sentenced Monday afternoon in St. Croix County.
