WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) - Repairs are being made at a pair of Wausau cemeteries damaged by vandals.
Crews started hoisting toppled headstones back into place Saturday morning at St. Josephs and Pine Grove Cemetery on Grand Avenue in Wausau.
Around 60 headstones in total were damaged earlier this month. The Wausau Cemetery Association says the repairs cost about 300 dollars for each marker put back into place. Those costs are being partially covered by insurance.
Police are still investigating the vandalism.
