Blood drive Thursday and Friday at St. Claire's

ROTHSCHILD, Wis. (WSAU) - The Bloodcenter of Wisconsin is looking for your help this week at a blood drive at Saint Clare's in Weston.

Spokeswoman Vicki Bohman says they're needing more blood than usual because it's summer. "People's schedules are changed, students are out of high school and college and people just aren't thinking about their usual donations."

If you are heading out to donate blood, Bohman says you should eat a good meal, get plenty of rest and plan to be gone for about an hour. You will need a valid driver's license to donate blood.

The drives start today at 12:30 to 5:30, tomorrow at 9am to 2 pm, and next Monday from 12:30 to 5:30.

For more information or to sign up for a donation time, call the Bloodcenter at 1-888-310-7555.
