Trent Reznor has tapped a powerful friend to help him create the video for “Came Back Haunted,” the first single from Nine Inch Nails ’ upcoming album Hesitation Marks . The singer has enlisted director David Lynch to helm the upcoming project, Pitchfork is reporting.

To offer further proof of their collaboration, Reznor tweeted a picture of himself and Lynch on Wednesday morning, along with a caption that features their initials, “tr;dl.”  This isn’t the first time that the pair has worked together: Reznor created new music and assembled the soundtrack for Lynch’s 1997 film, Lost Highway .

Hesitation Marks will arrive in stores on September 3.  If you pre-order the deluxe edition of the album now at iTunes , you'll score an immediate download of “Came Back Haunted.”
