WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) -- First a man goes to jail for attacking two Marathon County corrections officers. Now his mother is charged with crimes.
20-year-old Fredrick Morris is the man charged with attacking two Marathon County corrections officers, and seriously injuring one of them. His mother, 41-year-old Elnora Henderson has legal problems of her own.
Henderson made an initial appearance Tuesday for charges related to drug trafficking. Prosecutors charged Henderson with manufacturing or delivering non-narcotic drugs and with maintaining a drug trafficking place.
Henderson is the same woman that defended her son and asked officers if Morris had received his medication during the press conference at the Marathon County Sheriff’s Department after the attacks.
If convicted, Henderson could get over nine years in prison. She was released Tuesday on a 20-thousand dollar signature bond.
