MAPLEWOOD, MN (WTAQ) - Authorities may have found more evidence Monday in their search for Kira Steger Trevino, the Wausau area native who’s presumed murdered in St. Paul Minnesota.

Police and sheriff’s divers searched a creek for about two hours near Keller Lake in suburban Maplewood. Police spokesman Paul Paulos said officers, “possibly found some items,” but they have to be processed to determine if they’re relevant to the case.

The 30-year-old Trevino disappeared February 21st, and her husband Jeffrey is charged with murder.

An amended criminal complaint was recently filed, noting that blood found on a pillow at Keller Lake matched Kira Trevino’s DNA. The pillow was found on St. Patrick’s weekend, in a bag along with a sports bra, shirt, and sponge.

The revised complaint also said police dogs reacted positively to a hole in the ice March 19th on Keller Lake. And prosecutors said, “This may indicate a dead human body in the lake.”
