STEVENS POINT, Wis. (WSAU) - Saturday in Stevens Point, it's the annual Stevens Point Easter egg hunt.
Since there's still snow on the ground, the action is moving to the old JCPenney parking lot as opposed to Pfiffner Pioneer Park. Parks director Tom Schroeder says the event will run the same as if it were at Pfiffner Pioneer Park. "We've got the areas all roped off for the kids, just that instead of being on the grass we're on blacktop."
Children will be sent out into the hunting areas in a tiered system to be sure everyone gets some eggs. Toddlers through 3 year olds at 10:30, 4 to 6 year olds at 10:40 and ages 7 to 8 at 10:50. The eggs are plastic candy eggs with either candy or prize slips inside.
Schroeder reminds parents to leave the baskets at home so that everyone can get some eggs. You can find out more information online at www.stevenspoint.com
