Bosch Denies Selling PEDS To Braun

MIAMI, FLA (WSAU) Former Miami clinic director Tony Bosch has denied selling performance-enhancing drugs to Brewers’ All-Star Ryan Braun or anybody else. And Bosch confirms that he only had contact with Braun’s attorneys, who asked him questions as part of Braun’s successful appeal of his positive 2011 drug test for synthetic testosterone.

E-S-P-N interviewed Bosch, even though Major League Baseball says it has not been able to track him down to serve legal papers in a lawsuit against him. Baseball officials claim that Bosch violated the game’s drug policy by selling P-E-D’s to Braun and other big leaguers. Bosch tells E-S-P-N he’s a nutritionist, he knows nothing about performance-enhancing drugs, and media accounts of his alleged drug sales are quote, “character assassination.”

E-S-P-N says it has numerous lists which apparently show that Braun and other players owed-or-paid money to Bosch’s clinic. Braun has said there was a dispute over Bosch’s consulting fee -- and he has said nothing else about the matter since then, except that he’s cooperating with baseball in its investigation.

Baseball officials said they would interview all the players allegedly tied to Bosch’s former clinic. It’s not known whether Braun has had that interview.
