WESTON, Wis (WSAU) -- This weekend at DC Everest Senior High School, it's one of Rodgers and Hammerstein's best known musicals.
The Sound of Music continues tonight, tomorrow and Sunday at the high school auditorium. Fine arts director Diane Goetsch says it's a big show, but they're up to the task."It's such a classic, but yet we've taken it and put our own DC Everest twist on it. The set design is unique. It's maybe not something you've seen in the past."
The musical was the last one written by Rodgers and Hammerstein. The show tells the story of the singing Von Trapp family and their time during World War II. Goetsch says you'll be seeing some strong leads this year. "We chose the piece because we've got a very strong group of female voice right now, and we thought The Sound of Music would be the perfect musical to feature many talented ladies."
