Wausau police may be searching for more evidence in Low disappearance

WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) - Wausau police may be looking for evidence related to the disappearance of Stephanie Low.

WSAW-TV is reporting that residents of a Rothschild condominium complex are being asked if they know about a shovel that was on the property. Reports say residents received a letter looking for a shovel that would have been on the property between the time of Low's disappearance and now. The shovel may have been tossed into a pond and later removed.

Court records show that Kristopher Torgerson, a person of interest in the case, lived in those apartments in 2009. Torgerson is currently in prison on unrelated charges.

That pond was part of a police diving exercise in May of this year.

Police declined to comment when contacted.
